That's it, I've done it. I finally bought my plane ticket after much procrastination.


Just think, $640 can send you to Turkey on August 28th with me.
3.5 weeks!

9 hour flight + 3.5 hour layover + 1 hour flight = 13.5 hours

Yerler (Places)


Some points of interest:


  • İstanbul: Former capital of the Ottoman Empire, home to the Aya Sophia, Topkapı Palace, Fatih Bridge (the Bridge between Europe & Asia), and millions of other amazing sites.

  • Ankara: The capital of Turkey and where I will be spending the majority of the next four months.

  • Cappadocia: Land of Fairy Chimneys and Painted Churches.

  • Konya: Home of the Whirling Dervishes.

  • Troy: (Actually, near Çanakkale) The site of the Trojan War.

  • Ephesus: Home to one of the 7 World Wonders: The Temple of Artemis.

  • Bodrum: Beach resort town and site of the Mausoleum of Mausolus.

  • Mt. Nemrut: The location of an amazing Mesopotamian Temple, now in ruins.

  • Mt. Ararat: The supposed landing of Noah's Ark.

  • Sumela Monastery: Near Trabzon there is an abandoned Athenian Monastery, built against the sheer edge of a cliff.
